For anyone taking classes in, writing on, researching, or generally interested in global risk society (in an environmental, agricultural, or technological sense) this book offers an interesting interpretation of what may come to be if humans can't stop to realize the consequences of their modernizing quests. Not a cut and dry book, in my opinion, not an easy or fun read, but an eye opener essential to taking additional and complex points of views.
