Book Review of Lily Was the Valley: Undone by Adoption

Lily Was the Valley: Undone by Adoption
reviewed on

Dann tells the story of his and his wife's journey through an international adoption. It is the a look into the challenges of international adoptions, but it is also the story of what happens when the process is complicated by illness. Dann shares his and his family's most private joys and sorrows and struggles with God's plan for Lily and her new family. It is honest and raw and shows the maturing of Dann's and Tammy's faith and trust and hope in God as they face the truth that life does not always follow the path we would have chosen. Having experienced the loss of a child, much of their story of loss and hope resonate with me. Whether your interest is China, adoption, or trusting God in the hard places of life, you will learn much from Dann's story.
