Nora Roberts is one of my all time favorite authors. This book did not disappoint. I can't wait for the next book. I was a little confused at the very beginning but by the 2nd chapter, I was hooked & couldn't put the book down. Four childhood girlfriends grew up playing Wedding Day. Now as adults, they run Vows, their wedding planning business on the family estate of Parker Brown who is the manager of their business. Laurel is the baker, Emma is the florist & Mackensie is the wedding photographer. She captures happy moments in a families life like she never had. Her father walked out when she was a child & remarried quickly. Her mother has married & divorced several times & Mac has a half-brother & a half-sister she rarely sees. Her mother is totally engrossed in herself & expects Mac to finance her whims. Vows reputation has grown during the 5 years in business. Mackensie (Mac) is a well-known wedding photographer with bridal magazine covers to her name. She lives upstairs in the remodeled pool house & has her studio on the first floor. During a wedding consultation, she reconnects with Carter Maguire, a high school mate, who had a crush on her but was too shy to do anything about it. He is an English teacher at the local academy and still in love with Mac. He is totally there for her & it scares the daylights out of her. The 4 friends are totally there for each other & they help Mac through each crisis until she makes a decision about her relationship with Carter.
