Couldn't wait to get my hands on this book! It had 2 of my favorite things to read about... post apocalypse and dogs! I could see myself going after someone if they ever stole my dog whether it was the end of the world or not. Problem is, this wasn't as great as a story as it could have been.
The book starts off well enough. It gives you some background on the what happened to the world to make it the way it was. It also let you get to know the main character. The one part I had an issue with, it didn't really show a bond with the boy and his dogs. They supposedly were attached to him but they just tell you that and don't show it. So much time is spent on other things instead of the bond. Then the unthinkable happens and the dog is stolen. From there it really gets boring. Way too much time spent on description and blabbering. Around the middle of the book it gets interesting again. After that it is interesting enough to keep you entertained but it definitely wasn't outstanding.
