This book lives up to the hype for the young adult audience and those of us not so young. It is an easy read I couldn't put down. I fell in love with the characters right away and loved the journey they all take. This is the first in the vampire series and I need to start the next one right away. I highly recommend this book to those who would enjoy a slightly "fairytalish" vampire series with the pains of coming of age, love, fear, all mixed into the strugle of good and evil.
