Paranormal romance by Larissa Ione, and Book 4 of the Demonica series. What a story: Lore is half Seminus Demon/ half human. He is an assassin, and contracted slave to another Demon. He has one more assignment to complete, then he and the only person he cares about, will be free. Except his target is guarded by the Angels. Idess is a guardian angel, close to ascending into heaven. But, then her charge is marked for death by Demons. When Lore and Idess clash, the attraction is instant. Each one's goals are directly opposite of the other, despite the attraction. In the midst of this, Lore has to deal with his relationships with his half brothers, Seminus Demons Eidalon, Shade and Wraith. I love this book. Except for the villians, no one is completely good, or evil. The story is complex, and moves quickly. The sex scenes are beyond scorching. I could go on and on. Love this book. 400 pages, and I read it in one day. It's tied with the first one as my favorite. The whole series is addictive, and I don't want to wait for the next.
