Are you a doctor who smokes, or a doctor who can't shake off the text book warnings of blood born pathogens? Pick one.
I couldn't get into the heroine, because frankly I don't think she was even into herself. I didn't get the whole creepy attraction to the eyeball-less pedophile, and if that kid is your son why are you letting him peddle his blood out to random vampires?
There's just so much going on here that I don't get. There is no chemistry, plenty of self-loathing, and the sex wasn't even that great.
