Dr. Sara Linton's lunch time meeting with her sister doesn't go as expected. She finds a young professor, Sybil Adams, raped and murdered in the diner's restroom. Sara's ex-husband, Police Chief Jeffrey Tolliver, is in charger of the investigation. When a second victim is found a couple days later, he knows Grant County Georgia is harboring a serial killer.
This is an incredible debut novel. I couldn't put it down. The characters are well-developed. You learn more about their histories as the story goes on. If you are a reader bothered by violence or graphic forensic descriptions, you may want to skip this series. My rating: 5 Stars.
