This is Book #2 of the Ryder Creed series and was a good follow-up for #1. However, if you've not read #1, you could still follow the story. There is a "budding" romance between Ryder, a dog trainer, and Maggie O'Dell, an FBI agent, whom he has worked with previously on a missing persons case. I'd like to see them get together, but then again, this isn't supposed to be a romance novel; I think it's just that the characters are so well developed. So, all-in-all, it was a good story for a quick read where you don't need to concentrate hard or for very long. Maybe a good vacation book.
