This book, the first half for that is all I read, truly disgusted me. I am not a prude by any means, but I do find, in my older/wiser years, that what may have tittilated me in my teens, bores or disgusts me now. That said, even if I loved this kind of 'tell all, and I mean all', I would not have found one redeeming quality in this book. Nothing.
This book is nothing but little little essays of what sluts males and females in this modeling business are (says she). How they snort, and starve, wheedle and back-stab, sleep with best friend's husbands/boyfriends, etc. And Janice is the Queen of all of this. Did she not ever once consider that her children are going to read this, worse, that their friends will. It is obvious already, that the parents have all read the first book. Oh, the first few pages I was page-turning with interest, or more, expectation. Then I started skimming, then skipping, and then I said, whoa, why am I wasting my time with this stinky crap when a mountain of fine books awaits me?
In fairness, her first book, No Lifeguard on Duty, was a page-turner. It was actually funny or sad at times, interesting, and disgusting at times because she truly has no shame, but at least it told a story. Her addictions and how she conquered them and who helped her. She is a huge name- and penis-dropper. My god, Liam Neeson may not mind that the whole world now knows it breaks records for the size of his appendage, but how the heck do his wife and kids feel about the world knowing it? She does a job on Sly Stallone and Mick Jagger, too. Hardly as complimentary.
