Constable Evan Evans is back on the murder trail once again, when the Colonel, a annual visitor to their small village is murdered. Before too long another murder occurs that could be tied to the first murder. Evan tries to find out who is murdering the newcomers to his village and at the same time avoid the hearty attempts of Betsy the Barmaid from ending his bachelor days.
