I was really excited to get my hands on this one and ended up being disappointed in the end. The story is about a couple who raise a group of children as an experiment. There are two separate towers. One for girls and one for boys. They never know of each other's existence and are not supposed to. But what happens when the children get old enough to start questioning things?
The idea behind the book sounded awesome. The execution, not so good. I get that every time we got into the minds of the characters we were to see their angst in all that they are dealing with but this went on for pages and pages and spread to chapters and chapters. After time, I had to force myself to keep reading. Glad I kept with it though. The ending was one of the only redeeming qualities of the story. That and the characters are the only things that made it a decent book.
