This is a powerful graphic memoir created in a unique way - photographs form the background of most pages with the author's black and white illustrations of the people involved in each conversation in the foreground.

Mira Jacob shares experiences she's had as an Indian American via conversations with a wide variety of people including her husband, young son, parents, in-laws, friends, an employer and others. Many focus around significant events occurring in September 2001 and November 2016.

Like any well-written memoir, this one caused me to laugh, cry, and feel the range of human emotions.
