I really enjoyed this book even though I thought I wouldn't. I like to read about vampires but lately it seems like it's been too overdone. This book seemed different but I wasn't sure I'd like the whole "secret government agent/vampire" thing but it actually worked.
It's about a vampire named Cade who has taken an oath to protect and serve the president at all times and he has done this for decades. He doesn't protect us from terrorists, war or anything like that. He protects us from the supernatural beings out there that are willing to destroy us. In this book he is after the mad Dr. Frakenstein.
It's a pretty entertaining book. I like the way Farnsworth weaves in history with supernatural occurrences. I also think he does a superb job on flashbacks to let you know how Cade became who he was. I really liked the characters in this book as well. I found myself even liking the mad doctor no matter how evil and sick he was. I will definitely be reading the next book!
