For the past few weeks, I've been dreaming about my father.

Although this is the 16th book in the China Bayles series, it is the third book in a trilogy that started with Bleeding Hearts and continued with Spanish Dagger. This covers the death of China's father and the introduction of her brother (half-brother), Miles.

China has struggled to have a relationship with Miles. Miles hires McQuaid to assist in the investigation that has somehow spiraled to include reporters and politicians. An interesting twist to the series is that portions of the book are told strictly from McQuaid's point of view. I like that!

This is one of my favorite series and I'm not sure why I have let it hang in my TBR pile/mountain. I always enjoy a visit with China and her crew. Not very much of Ruby this time around and I miss that. A series that I highly recommend.
