A history of the cosmetics industry from the late-1800s to the mid 1980s.
I wish the author could have gone more in-depth about what the cosmetics were made out of, if there was any real difference between brands and more about the negative effects of cosmetics on women.
While I respect the fact that she managed to include African Americans and men in this history, I feel that the author could have written more about cosmetics and other minorities.
I did learn a lot of interesting facts about the origins of certain brands and for that I give it eight stars.
