3 stars.447 pages. A poignant story! A car accident has left Rachel, the mother of two clinging to life. Her ex-husband comes to her bedside and puts his work on hold. He meets Rachel's friends, his own two teenage daughters, and mostly he learns to really know Rachel for the first time. He learns about her passion for her art, and the secret as to why she left him six years before. He learns to see the story of his marriage and his family with new eyes. A very precious story!
