This is an engaging series; however, the story about Marc and Julia gets tiresome. It still needs to be resolved. On the other hand, Marc's group has to uncover the murder of the ACC's daughter. Because it was identical to the case that happened about 30 years before, Marc looked at that case carefully.
This case delves into the problematic Irish times called "The Troubles." This is when the IRA was active, and lots of police were killed. It seems that the ACC (Melanie Trainor) worked the case. When Marc interviews the person sent to jail for the murder, he believes Jonno Mulvenna did not commit it -- or the current crime.
The solution to this crime is a stretch of the imagination. It is undoubtedly different.
