Like a box of chocolate truffles. It is probably not the most edifying book of all time but it is absolutely a dessert book. We get mystery, adventure, sex, romance, hot guys, a teeny bit of art history, and interesting scenery. The fast-talking, snappy dialogue between the hero and heroine is sharp and fun. Yeah the mystery is a bit silly, the situation rather a stretch, but you probably aren't reading this if you are hoping for the next Agatha Christie novel. I like Suzanne Enoch much better as a contemporary romance writer, I never feel completely satisfied with her historical romances. But this is awesome. I am reading the series for a second time and I am sure I will read it again. I LOVE this series and these characters.
