Hmmmm, not a bad book, just a very short one. I too am hoping for something better in her upcoming books. This one seems out of place in a hardcover. I think it would have been better to have presented it either as a single mass market paperback or perhaps with other short books in an anthology. I honestly laughed and thought "You've got to be kidding!" when I saw how small this *hardcover* book was.
One other thing that didn't work for me was the jumping back and forth between what was going on with the h/h and then with the bad guys. I had a problem with this in her previous book, Burn, and here it was again. Call me shallow, but beyond the build-up of how bad a bad guy is in a book, I don't really need to know (or even care about) what they're thinking or doing every second. They're bad, they're a threat, and there you go - get back to the main characters. Don't get me wrong, some inside info is good, but not this much in such a short book. In this sort of scenario, I think the time would have been much better spent developing the two main characters and their relationship a bit more. As it is, I was left feeling that both were somewhat lacking and rushed.
