Wow...this book was SO not for me! I enjoy paranormal romances, I enjoy historical-western romances, I enjoy alpha-males-hunting-bad-guys....
But I do NOT enjoy "Steampunk." It's funny, because I can totally believe a fictional shapeshifter world in a book. I can totally believe in vampires & demons. Yet the whole 1880's clockwork inventions just left me laughing my ass off.
Cassandra Clare's "Clockwork Angel" & "Clockwork Prince" are both good stories, and might qualify as sorta-steampunk, even if they are a bit tame & intended for teen readers.
However, Theresa Meyers simply bored me to tears. I couldn't dig her weird steampunk world & didn't care one iota about her so-called heroes named for gun manufacturers. Too cheesy, not worth my time.
