This is another book in Maron's series featuring Judge Deborah Knott.

When the annual county fair and carnival comes to town, Deborah goes out to have some fun, but someone has other ideas. Soon she is investigating a murder, getting to know a new niece, and the strange world of the carnival.

This is an excellent book, as most of Maron's are. In addition to a good plot, it also advances the relaitionships that are the heart of the series.
