Just to give you some background because the book doesn't spell it out for you.
Bathsheba (they do make fun of her name a lot in the book) works for a dating agency for the paranormal and has been hiding her little sister (turned werewolf) from other weres. There are rules and special visas for co-mingling between humans and paranormals as dictated by the Alliance but are usually frowned upon because humans are seen as diseased and weak. (I believe that most humans are not aware they live among supernaturals).
Beau is a were-couger / head of the Alliance who develops a thing for Bathsheba. Along the way, throw in some mating heat, strange creatures stalkings, ex-girlfriends, kidnappings, and virgins (well, one virgin I think) and you have a very entertaining book.
Fun, easy to read. Lots of cute dialogue and steamy scenes. Can't wait for the next one.
