Anna Roma came back to her home town and real family last year after discovering she had been living a lie and with the mother who abducted her as a young child. She is trying to fit in and find out who she is now. Remodeling the home she plans on turning into a Bed & Breakfast is keeping her peaceful Until she discovers her brothers best friend, Duke, living like a Wildman in her woods.

Both Anna and Duke are at a crossroads in their lives and decide to work side by side on the house in the quiet and seclusion that is Half Moon Hill. They have an electric attraction and dont put up much of a fight they give into their mutual desires fairly easy.

I love this series - I love the town and its inhabitants. But I have to admit that coming into this story I did not love Anna. In the previous book, Willow Springs, she was a selfish Witch (minus the W and add a B). In this book, thankfully, she seems more comfortable in her skin and kinder to everyone. It didnt take long at all for me to lover her character.

I was excited to see Duke as he is intriguing to me. He has multiple layers to his person and his rough exterior and tender interior is sexy to me. He was a perfect match to Anna. Their love story wasnt easy but it was hot and sweet and a little heartachey at times.

There are also a lot of updates with some of our favorite Destiny citizens. It made me happy to see what everyone is up to. There is also a side story/romance that added a lot of flavor and mystique to the story. It was wonderful. I have high expectations for my Toni Blake reads I have yet to be let down. This was a fabulous addition to one of my favorite series.
