This contains two of Macomber's stories from the 80's. The first is a retelling of Cinderella where she cleans his office. The premise is fun, but the romance just didn't work for me. He's arrogant and has a bad cold. She's subservient and wishy-washy. The second story, a modern day beauty and the beast was better, but unbelievable even for a romance. He's a powerful businessman who has brought her father's company to the brink of ruin. He already has everything money can buy, including his own island, so he agrees to let the company survive if "Beauty" (really named Judy) comes to stay on his island. She wins the hearts of his staff and the island natives, tames his wild horse, and shows him that only by letting her go will she be free to return. You get the happy ending, and if you like your romances without sex scenes, this may be the book for you.
