America's "Queen of Suspense" has done it again.
When she was only 10 years old, Liza Barton acidentally kills her mother while trying to protect her from her abusive husband, Lisa's stepfather. The child is adopted, grows up, marries and has a son. When her husband dies, Liza's second husband finds a house she will love - only it turns out to be the home in which she shot her mother. Was the choice of homes a strange coincidence - or the action of a man intent on destroying her?
