This is the first book I've ever read by this author. It's alright. Not bad, but not that great. Although, since I've collected all 4 books in this series, I've finished book 2 and am reading book 3. They really do get better as you go. There is a background story that runs through all the books, so these MUST be read in order. So far, book 3 is excellent! My best guess would be, this series is definitely worth the read!
