(this review may be a spoiler) ... The bad guy is REALLY BAD, as seen near the start of this story. Marjorie Tench is also as nasty a character as I've encountered since reading of Myron Bolitar's arch enemies (Harlan Coben books). This was my first Brown reading. I was skeptical about there being undistorted fossils in chondruled rock, but I decided to "accept" Brown's solution to get on with the plot.
