I haven't read any other books by Allison Chase but I believe I will. This is a solidly written paranormal/historical romance. I really enjoy historicals of this period 1800s or thereabouts set in England. Sophie is a plucky girl with courage and she sets about doing what she thinks is right and be damned the consequences. The hero of the book is also nicely written with all flexing muscles and melting when it comes to Sophie. The ghosts set the atmosphere of the book. This book didn't hold me spellbound but I kept coming back for more until I was finished.
