This is the fourth book in the second set of series (Firstborn) with the Baxter Family. There are three sets of series:
Redemption Series (5 books)
Firstborn Series (5 books)
Sunrise Series (4 books)
In addition, the Above the Line Series by Karen Kingsbury also includes the Baxter family.
I have found these books are not good stand alone books as the ending always leaves a little suspense for the reader that only the future books in the series will help answer.
This is one of my favorite books in the series so far as many questions are answered and relationships built upon that seemed very fragile initially. This is a great series for the believer and nonbeliever a like. Although the book seems to center mostly on the lives of Dayne Matthews (movie star) and Katy Hart (director of Christian plays), the Baxters are still nearby. The series so far have dealt with some major life issues: unwed pregnancy, death of abusive spouse, fire rescue, near drowning of young child, deaths of close friends, cancer of spouse, adoption, weddings, births, stalkers, cross country moves, and relationships in crisis. The series has a little of something for everyone.
