Elliott Roosevelt died in the 1990's and left a plethora of manuscripts to continue his mystery series where his mother, Eleanor Roosevelt is the heroine, his father, Franklin's, Presidency is seen through the eyes of one who experienced it, and history comes alive. In this book, a White House policeman is assassinated a few feet from the President's bedroom and so begins another mystery. This was a good book, with insights into the personal lives of the Roosevelts and the workings of the White House and Goverment in 1933, the Roosevelt's first year as President and First Lady.
