I just couldn't finish this book, the copy had wasn't a big financial investment so I didn't feel obligated to do so. I hate the topic of mother loss. I gave it three stars as I like Alice Sebold's writing style and stories of family dynamics. I also encourage readers who haven't read Sebold's personal story "Lucky" to do so.
