Defense Intelligence Office B.J. Chase has been summoned to NSA Headquarters to help Stephanie Tompkins find a lead in her Department. When Stephanie's boss is killed in a mysterious accident, B.J. tries to protect Stephanie. But the Tompkins family has called in Black Ops, Inc. to do the job. B.J. comes face to face with Raphael Mendoza, the guy she blames for blowing her last undercover assignment. Stephanie discovers that the leaked information is tied to a criminal in Columbia. Raphael has family in Columbia who believe he is dead. Now is the time for him to return to the bosom of his family, along with B.J. posing as his fiancee. As the two work together and grow closer, they must find the cache of weapons and stop a possible catastrophe.
This is a fantastic installment in Gerard's Black Ops series. B.J. held her own with the guys from Black Ops. Raphael had reasons for not informing his family that he was still alive. There is a good balance between the suspense and the romance. There is also a secondary romance that was very appealing. I had a very hard time putting this book down. My rating: 4.5 Stars.
