This latest Harry Dresden book has not been an easy page turner for me.
Too much unneeded violence, and for me not as much clever story/details as I'm accustomed too from Jim Butcher.
Some of his clever characters like Bob, and his dog Mouse, his apprentis or his girl Cop are seldom used in this story but unlikeable characters get all kinds of page time.

Harry Dresden short stories do show up in other books, with additional authors, and often they are more interesting than this entire book was.

Now that Turn Coat is out of Butcher's system, maybe he'll put together another clever story about Alera, as he usually rotates his main stories.
