This book is a true treasure. The adventures of Mrs. "Arris makes us all wish to travel the world with her in tow. She only meets the best people. They all do amazing things for her. But of course, she is a most unusual woman who would do anything for anyone and doing it well. Seeing herself as the fairy godmother to little 'Enry the bandied about boy who lives next door, she is determined to get to America and find his father. She gets herself to New York with her best friend Mrs. Butterfield and sets about her task. She encounters adventures as she searches for the boys father, visiting many places in the city and making friends everywhere she goes.
