This is a great book, in the tradition of The Lovely Bones. The story is set in the 50's in Georgia, so the story is written in southern talk with words like "git". Very emotional story which covers a lot of issues from drinking to abuse to death. There is even mention of one character (an adult, I don't want to spoil anything)being sexually abused by their father. Definitely, worth reading especially for those who liked "The Lovely Bones".
