Nora Hamilton is a successful romance script writer for the Romance Channel. When her husband abandons her and their two children, Nora does her best writing about her no-good husband and their failed marriage. A big studio buys the script and in no time the movie is being filmed using Nora's property as the filming location. Handsome movie star Leo Vance is cast as the husband in the film. His smoldering good looks make Nora's heart race. When the shooting on her property is wrapped, Nora discovers Leo Vance drinking tequila on her porch and watching the sunrise. Leo asks Nora if she would rent out her tea house to him for $1,000 a day. Needing the money to pay some overdue bills, Nora jumps at the chance; but she doesn't know what she is getting herself into.
I have mixed feelings about this story. It's told in Nora's first-person point-of-view which I'm not a fan of when it comes to romance. I also wasn't a fan of Leo for the first quarter of the story. But he slowly changed for the better and grew on me. I don't want to give away any spoilers, but the romance was going strong in the middle of the book when something happened that threw me out of the story. I couldn't figure out how the author could possibly give this story a plausible happily ever after. I was ready to give up on the book. Luckily, the author salvaged the story and saved the day. I was happy with the ending, and I hope everyone gives this book a chance. My rating: 4 Stars.
