This Scholastic paperback uses beautiful illustrations and 2-3 sentences per page to detail what firefighters do at a fire. The firefighters are dalmations, using eqipment and wearing appropriate gear to respond to a fire and rescue other dogs in the building. My kindergartener loved to read this at bedtime. I think it would make an excellent book for the child of a firefighter, as well.
