Crime Scene Witness by Dana R. Lynn is a suspenseful whodunit. I was quickly drawn into the story. I stayed up late rapidly turning the pages to see how the story would conclude. I like the author's writing style. It is friendly and draws the reader in. The characters are realistic and relatable. I enjoyed getting to know Deputy Marshal Micah Bender, Lissa Page, and Lissa's adorable daughter, Shelby. The story is told from Lissa and Micah's point-of-view. It is interesting to see things from a man and a woman's POV. Lissa wears cochlear implants. I liked learning more about the devices. The mystery was full of action. I was able to solve the whodunit early on, but I was curious to see how the story would play out (there was so much going on). I like that we got to visit Micah's Amish family. They are a friendly, welcoming bunch. The epilogue nicely wrapped up the story. I finished the book with a smile on my face. I liked the faith message in the story. It was good to see a law enforcement officer who believed in God. I was happy that Lissa was teaching Shelby about God (such a sweet child). Crime Scene Witness is the latest book in the Amish Country Justice series. Each book can be read as a standalone. Crime Scene Witness is a gripping tale with a distressing crime scene, a deadly killer, a handsome marshal, a precocious youngster, a close call, a friendly family, and a concerned crime scene cleaner.
