I love a good romance novel. Unfortunately, Brazen Ecstasy is not that kind of book. It looked at a well written romance novel, and then ran screaming gibberish in the exact opposite direction. Every single page of this book contains at least one phrase that will make you giggle uncontrollably. It contains so much pure unadulterated insanity that it is almost hard to read more than five pages in one sitting. It is wildly historically inaccurate, lacks any whisper of a plot, and violently rapes the English language. All of the book's problems compound until you cannot help but laugh when the male hero sends out his "finger scouts to explore the moist canyon, stopping to fight minor skirmishes on the outlying battle fields." Or how "He looked as if someone had melted the warmest cinnamon, mixed it with a clear liquid, and poured it into the most sensual mold until it became hardened bronze." While reading this book, my most frequent question was "WTF? Wait... what? What are they doing? Who's genitals are like a mighty aggressive badger?" I wish I could give this book a negative rating.
