I wasn't wild about this series after reading the first book but I had invested in getting the first 7 after my Mom recommended this series to me. I didn't love the first book but I liked it enough to keep reading and I enjoyed this one more than the first. I've never been one to read romance novels but I do like a little romance. There isn't a whole lot of that in this book but there is some pretty exciting intimate scenes that don't leave a whole lot to the imagination. On a totally different note, I feel like I am getting to know Sookie more with each book and she is totally growing on me. If you liked the first one you will like this one as well and if you loved the first one, well I'm not sure why you are checking out reviews before reading this one. I just finished the third book (Club Dead) and it is my favorite so far.
