This sequel to "A Place Called Trinity" is another work of satisfying well-researched and written historical fiction, like it's predecessor. Martha Cade, midwife and natural healer in 1830s Pennsylvania is facing losing her trade as more women are consulting the town's new doctor instead of her. She has the intervene in the lives of several of her patients to help preserve their safety, while she faces losing her precious daughter again to the lure of New York. A lovely ending eases all our fears about Martha's future. For anyone who enjoyed their first visit to Trinity, Pennsylvania, you will be charmed by this conclusion to the series.
