This is the second book in the Meg Langslow series.

In this book, Meg and new beau, Michael, head off to a small island off the Maine coast for a little romantic time alone. However, after having gotten there, they find a hurricane approaching, with no way off the island. They also find many of Meg's relatives already visiting Aunt Phoebe's cabin. They try to find another place to stay, but all the rooms are taken by the flocks of bird-watching tourists who have also been stranded on the island. There are many mishaps that occur during their time while on the island, one of which is Meg's Dad and Aunt Phoebe being lost out in the wilds while the hurricane is going on. Also during this time, the mean-spirited, much despised, local resident artist is murdered. Meg's dad is suspect number one, so Meg knows that she and Michael must find out who the real killer is before the ferry starts running again, bringing in the authorities.

I enjoyed this book just as much as the first one, and will continue with the rest of the series. One to number three!
