I thought this started out with promise of a good story, but by page 130+ it was sooooo slow and soooo boring. The main story does not move forward very much and it has too many other stories to keep up with: 1. I don't think his child needs to be a front and center part of this story 2. and his dog doesn't need to be front and center either, I thought that part of his personal story should've been a minor part and cut out, the funeral of one of the victums was too long and didn't accomplish anything I could see. This was one I didn't even try to skip or skim it just seemed too boring and drawn out too much to make the story worth sticking with, another thing annoying was all the initials used that seemed to be an important part of explaining police departments but who cares about that, just simple language would be much better
