Sookie travels to Dallas to do a favor for the Vampires who save her life after an encounter with a beast that nearly kills her. The second installment of the Sookie Stackhouse mysteries. As and an excellent read. Charlaine Harris' sounthern Vampire mysteries are a wonderful blend of mystery and paranormal, with just a smidge of romance on the side. A very satisfying and compelling read , even those who might have missed the first book "Dead Until Dark" won't be unable to be up to speed quickly and enjoy the book. But beware, you can't read just one, once you've visited Sookie's world, you'll feel the need to read them all.
