Great book by Rosslyn Elliott! Will Hanby, a young indentured servant, is terribly mistreated by his cruel master. He finds refuge with Samuel Miller, a good and kind saddler and circuit rider minister. Mr Miller also guides and rescues runaway slaves, and Will is able to help in this secretive and dangerous mission. (He also falls in love with the saddler's beautiful daughter, Ann.) I highly recommend this book.
