So, the book began promising enough. However, it quickly became predictable and long winded. I figured out everything before I got halfway through. Sometimes, this is OK, because it's still interesting to see how the author plays it out. But, here it was just boring and tedious.
Also, I was not a fan of how the characters treated the two "people" they found. I thought that could have been handled better. And keeping things from a person on whom there will be a major medical thing done is wrong. That is not consent. So, I hated that it played out this way. I lost all respect for the main character.
I started skimming 3/4 of the way through. I give it 2 stars. But, only because it had the potential to be really amazing.
