Swarzkopf's story of the revitalization of the American military after the demoralizing defeat of Vietnam. It was far=reaching and affected the transformation of the Army's philosophy, doctrine, recruitment, weaponry and above all, its leadership. Schwarzkopf fought twice on this testing ground called Vietnam and demonstrated a dedication to the art of soldiering and to the welfare of his men that became the heart of his credo. Great book!
