This last installment in the Bride Quartet was somewhat of a disappointment for me.
While you do see Parker "let her hair down" a tiny bit- she's so condescending that I'm amazed that anyone puts up with her. I felt the book was kind of a let down because the whole "romance" between Parker and Malcolm was just sort of taken for granted. I was really disappointed that there was no real "build-up", and their big "problem" towards the end (Nora is so formulaic anyway) was just really silly. Everything at the end got tied up with a big HEA bow, but I was left feeling like the author didn't really put her best effort into this one. It seemed like she was just riding out on the success of the others in the series.
I wanted more, because after sticking it out for four books, the ending should have been way better. Ah, well... at least the covers were pretty!
