**I received this book with the cover bent**
Having said that, the widely anticipated was not what it was cracked up to be, but it was okay. There is some subject matter that is unsuitable for preteen readers (has NOTHING to do with the dog - not really sure why the author included it), so keep that in mind.
If you're looking for a great dog-related story read Amazing Gracie.
